MACARTHUR, Hannibal Hawkins. Nephew of John MacArthur

Came free with John MacArthur per "Anzo", 1805 and returned per "Isabella", 1812; he assisted John's wife Elizabeth to manage their estates and ran his own property from The Vineyard, Parramatta, having grants in the District of Cooke on the Wolondilly River. Like his uncle, his interests lay in wool (in 1824 claimed he had the second largest flock in the Colony), in banking and in politics of the "Exclusives".
