Arrived as a free settler in the "Experiment" in June 1804; storekeeper and magistrate at Port Dalrymple, August 1804; Deputy Commissary at Port Dalrymple, 1805; secretary to Lieutenant Governor Paterson, 9 January to March 1809; merchant and trader; contractor for building the General Hospital; sailed in the "Harriet" on 22 December 1817; retained pastoral interests in colony, particularly wool-growing.
