HASSALL, Rowland. Landholder and Superintendent of Government Stock

Arrived from Tahiti per "Nautilus" in 1798 and received a grant in the Dundas district in the following year; in September 1800 he was appointed Government Storekeeper at Parramatta and Toongabbie but was discharged two years later; he became Superintendent of Government Stock in 1814; he died at Parramatta in August 1820. In addition to his Dundas property he held land at Parramatta, Prospect, Cook, Bringelly and the Hawkesbury.
