Transported per "Royal Admiral" in 1800, he was appointed Government Printer soon after arrival; he published the Sydney Gazette from March 1803, received a conditional pardon in 1803 and an absolute pardon in 1806; he was active in commerce and a foundation subscriber to the Bank of NSW; he died in May 1821. | |

Arrived free per "Coromandel" in June 1802 and received a grant at Mulgrave Place; became licensed auctioneer of Windsor in 1811; with James McGrath he was contracted to perform a number of construction projects such as the completion of the Sydney to Windsor road, the construction of a toll bridge over South Creek and the enlargement of the wharf at Windsor; he was Chief Constable at Windsor from 1814 to 1821 when he was appointed Coroner; in 1819 and 1820 he went on expeditions to discover a route to the Hunter; he received further grants of 700 and 500 acres in the Hunter district. | |
