LEWIN, John William. Coroner; painter and naturalist

Came free per "Minerva", 1800 to paint the flora and fauna and collect entomological specimens. He had land at Parramatta and published 'Birds of New Holland with their Natural History' but by 1810 was forced to take the position of Coroner to supplement his income. He died in 1819.
