HOOK, Charles. Merchant and landholder

Arrived in June 1808 per "Eagle", a partner in the firm Campbell, Hook and Company; in 1809 he was imprisoned for one month for sedition; the company was disabled in 1816 and Hook retired to his grant, Denbeigh in the District of Cooke; he was a shareholder in the Bank of New South Wales and was a magistrate under Macquarie.
